Terry d Chacon with her painting masterpiece.

On Wed. my painting buddie Terry d Chacon and I headed to El Matador State Beach to meet up with another painter friend, Nita Harper. The drive there was terrible, but we finally made it there about 11:30 pm. Nita had brought a great picnic lunch for us, and after that traffic, we were hungry. We sat down on one of the picnic benches and enjoyed a wonderful home made lunch before starting to paint. Thank you so much Nita, the lunch was wonderful, and we enjoyed catching up on news from all of us. After the refreshing lunch, we headed down the path to the beach below. It was quite a hike, but the vistas were breathtaking, and we each settled down to paint. I painted the vista in the distance. Then after we each finished our first painting, we hiked back to the top, and took a break for home made desert, again by Nita. After a nice rest we each set up along the top of the cliff, and painted the vista with the afternoon setting sun casting bright sunlight on the ocean vistas below. Can you see the the surf sailors in the distance? It was a beautiful day of painting and great company. Before heading home, Terry and I had great fish tacos at a local fresh seafood cafe.
