Yesterday our "Wed. painting day", Terry d Chacon, Barbara Parish and I all took off early for the Laguna Beach area. We first visited one of the biggest art festivals, the famous Laguna Arts Festival. We had fun all morning looking at all of the artwork displayed by area artists. I always learn so much looking at other artists work, and also allot of ideas as to painting locations in the local regions. We had a fabulous lunch at the festival cafe, and discussed strategies for each of our art careers. After a getting change for the parking meters, we headed down to Heisler Park, to paint the evening light. We have painted this location before, so we walked around to check out other possible locations. We ended up painting at the same spot as did last year, but this time I decided to paint more of the vista rather than only the Monument lookout area, as last year. (Check out last year's post 7/17/09). The weather was perfect, and the area was busy with beach goers and afternoon walkers. The tide was coming in, and the waves were getting bigger. Well, another end of a great day at the office, it is so nice to have such a mobile office to visit each time.
