Return to Mias Canyon

"Morning Walk Vista"  12x12 Plein Air Pastel .

I have been painting in the beautiful Canyon with my friend, Terry d Chacon, as she is preparing for a plein Air Painting workshop that she will be conducting on April 28, 2013.  The workshop is organized by the Dorothy Ramon Learning Center, in Banning.  The focus on the weekend is back to nature.  Along with the workshop there will also be a plein air show at the Center.  So these paintings , will be in an upcoming show at the center.  More about the show later.  BTW the distant mountain with the snow on it, is Big Bear.

"Plein Air Painter, and Mt. San Jacinto"  9x12 plein Air Pastel.

This was my afternoon painting, I did this week, again in Mias Canyon, and this also was painted at the Siva Ranch, which has beautiful vistas all around, and Mt. San Jacinto peaking through the trees, is always fun.
Also painting with us this day was Nita Harper.  More later, and thanks for keeping in touch with me and my blog.

Ahh, Pat, your paintings leave me yearning to get out and paint, but, here in NY State we still have four feet of snow on the ground and it's in the 30's most days. Yuk. I'm eager to get back to California! We'll be there in May and hopefully, I'll get to do some plein air, too. Your paintings really inspire me!
