Painting at Indian Canyons with mentor - Albert Handell

Last week I had the privileged to paint in the beautiful Indian Canyon, Palm Springs, CA, with the great mentor  and Master Pastelist, Albert Handell.  The group of painters were small in numbers, which allowed for a nice relaxing week of painting with wonderful artists in the beautiful Indian Canyons.

"Indian Canyon afternoon vista" 11x14 plein air Pastel.

"Afternoon shadows" 9x12 Plein air Pastel.

"Looking down River" 12x16 Plein air Pastel.

"Rocks & Weeds, IV" 12x12 Plein air Pastel.

"Dry River Bed and Rocks" 12x16 - Plein Air Pastel.

Albert Handel offering his expertise at the end of the week.  The beautiful painting in the photo, was painted by Doug Tweddale,  who paints moving water in such a beautiful way.  Every time I participate in one of Albert's mentoring paint-a-longs, I always come away learning a few more skills to work on and improve my painting technique.  Thank you Albert for sharing your years of painting wisdom.  Until next time.

Lovely paintings, Pat. I loved the time I spent at one of Albert's workshops, but I never availed myself of his mentoring program. I wish I had. You paint in the most beautiful places! Lucky lady!!
