"Fenced in" 6x12 plein air pastel. 
"Day gone by" 6x18 plein air pastel.I had such a great time in April in the Pacific Grove area, painting the dunes and old trees. The first painting was done one morning driving around one of the neighborhoods, and the fence at the top of the dune, caught my eye.
The second painting was done on the grounds of Asilomar. This old tree must have fallen down quite some time ago, but it was still beautiful and quite interesting to paint. I did get confused from time to time trying to follow where the branches went.
