"Lavender and Oleander" - 12x12 plain air pastel.On Wed., our plein air painting day,my friend Terry d. Chacon decided to drive to Banning to paint the Lavender fields another time. This year the lavender has bloomed a little later, so we knew there would be beautiful lavender fields to paint, and we were not disappointed. At this farm they also have a long row of Oleanders that line one of the roads, and it also is in bloom, and they made a great backdrop for the lavender. It is always nice to stand and paint these fields as the aroma that is constantly surrounding you is so peaceful.
