Last weekend, I participated in a wonderful paint out in Lake Arrowhead, CA.  This was the First Annual Plein Air "Paint the Lake", put on by the Mountain Arts Network.  The chair of the Event was Sandra Charlebois, who did a fabulous job, along with community volunteers who were all very helpful and welcoming to the 60 participants of the event.

On the opening evening, all the participants were taken on a evening cruise around the lake on the The Lake Arrowhead Queen.  What a fun time, and beautiful scenery and of course the beautiful lakeside homes (mansions). 

Nita Harper , Terry d Chacon and my setup, all painted an early morning painting on the trail  next to the Arrowhead Resort Hotel.

The sunset and clouds were magnificent this weekend due to summer monsoons.  We did have a late afternoon thunder storm during both afternoons.  But all in all, no complaints, it just added to the beauty and fun of the Event.  Can't wait until next year.!!!
