Last week on our weekly plain air painting outing, my friend Terry and I decided to stay close to home and see what we could find. We drove around near the donut hole area, and found this row of old Palm trees, along side the road, along side of a still existing orange grove. It was already a bit late when we started, so the shadows were getting shorter. So here it is, on a back road in Redlands, 9x12 plein air pastel. On another note, this week I am trying to figure out what to paint, for a demo next Sunday, (5-15,2011) at the Loma Linda Fine Arts Festival, that will be in the Drayson Center, in Loma Linda, from 2- 4 pm. I also was honored to have judged their show, and they will be presenting the awards after my demo. It will be interesting to see who I choose as the names of the artists on the paintings were covered up.
