I was honored today with an Award of Excellence for this little 6x6 plein air pastel. The event was the Redlands Art Association - Juried Multi Media Mini Show. The awards ceremony and reception was held at the gallery today. I painted this little painting "Weeds and Willows" about a month ago, at Newport Back Bay. I had completed another painting, and wanted to do another one quickly, which I did, I think I did it in about a half hour.
