Lucky Lindie
Yesterday my friends Terry, Kathi and I, went to Flabob Airport in Riverside to paint the planes. It was one of those "June gloom" Southerner California mornings, where the the clouds stuck around until about 11:30 or so. We painted anyway, and because of the fog, the planes were grounded and we were able to paint them. I painted this one, as it reminds me of my brothers airplane, Lucky Lindie, thus the title. Anyway I liked this little one, 3x12 plein air pastel.

This is a great plein air pastel, Pat. You've captured the scene with the great execution of the plane within the perspective of the foreground airstrip with the trees in the background. Congratulations on a beautiful piece !!!

That's a fine picture, Pat! I love it. I remember that the morning was really overcast and your painting reflects that so well. If I owned that plane, I would want your picture. Heck, I don't own that plane and I still want your picture! Well done, Pat.
