Redlands Art Association -Multi Media Mini Show

Upon my return from Monument Valley, I was pleased to learn that I had been juried into the Mini Show, at Redlands Art Association. This is a yearly show, and I submitted three small paintings (nothing over 14 1/2 " in any direction, including the frame). My landscape of the Asistencia Mission, (which you can see in this blog, Feb. 18. in the archive box) in Redlands did not get accepted, but this pastel painting of Maddie did. The Exhibit runs though April 10, 2008, at RAA's Gallery, 215 E. State Street, Redlands, CA. If you are able, drop by and see the show, it has allot of lovely small paintings, and other art forms such at jewelry, pottery and sculpture.

Monument Valley Utah/Arizona - March 7-11, 2008

Last weekend I was at Gouldings Lodge, in the beautiful Monument Valley, UT. It was a magical time, despite the fact I was pestered by a bad cold. The scenery is so majestic, it is hard to decide what to photograph or paint first. Because of my cold, I did not do much painting, but did take photographs, for future paintings. I will attach a few of my photos for your enjoyment. If you ever visit the area, a all day tour into the back country is well worth the trip. It is truily the "Land of Long Shadows".
